Freezco has expanded salmon processing for the Italian market through Freezco Eesti, a facility in Tallinn launched in May 2026. Italian buyers can source frozen fillets, IQF portions, salmon slices and smoked products, with specifications, packaging and certification options adapted to retail, foodservice and private-label projects.

As global seafood demand evolves, buyers are placing greater value on suppliers able to combine raw-material sourcing, production flexibility and reliable delivery. Freezco is responding through its Tallinn facility and a service model designed to support both recurring supply programmes and new product-development work.

Salmon processing for the Italian market

Salmon remains the core product category within the Freezco portfolio. Through Freezco Eesti, the company can produce frozen fillets, IQF portions, salmon slices and cold- or hot-smoked products. The offer is not limited to fixed formats: trims, portion sizes and processing methods can be defined around each customer’s technical and commercial requirements.

Formats and packaging matched to the sales channel

Packaging options include vacuum packs, IQF formats and chain packs. Frozen formats can be configured around the destination and sales channel. This allows buyers to select formats suited to retail shelves, professional kitchens or distribution operations without forcing the same solution across every market segment.

One platform for B2B, HoReCa and private label

Freezco serves B2B, HoReCa and private-label customers. For foodservice operators, product weight, packaging and storage method can be adjusted to operational needs. For retail and private-label partners, projects may be developed around a defined species, cut, portion size, processing method, packaging configuration and certification requirement.

Alongside standard lines, the company develops bespoke products. Flexible production and relatively low minimum order quantities can support both established ranges and new product-development projects, giving customers room to test or extend a format before moving to larger volumes.

Local support, quality control and certified options

For Italian customers, day-to-day cooperation is supported by a local Italian agent who can facilitate communication and coordinate commercial and product-development projects. Freezco’s quality and production teams monitor manufacturing against agreed specifications, while the company’s export experience covers the process from raw-material selection and specification development to production and final delivery.

Depending on the product and project requirements, Freezco can offer products covered by GLOBALG.A.P., MSC, ASC and BIO certifications and operates in accordance with IFS Broker requirements.

By combining production in Tallinn, tailored specifications and local commercial support, Freezco offers Italian buyers a clearer route from product brief to finished salmon item – with.
