e-Fish DockDeal digital fish auction platform

In the world of fisheries and aquaculture, the seasonality and perishability of seafood require increasingly agile sales models that ensure speed, transparency, and full traceability. In this scenario, e-Fish DockDeal marks a turning point: a “single-product” digital auction platform designed to simplify and accelerate the sale of homogeneous lots of small pelagics, bivalve mollusks, processed products, and aquaculture-derived products.

The strength of simplicity: one product, one lot, a more efficient sale

e-Fish DockDeal was created to meet a concrete need: to quickly and efficiently manage sales of large quantities of uniform product. In traditional auctions, the multiplicity of species and the variability of lots slow down operations and complicate documentation management; the logic of e-Fish DockDeal, on the other hand, is that of a descending-price auction on non-divisible lots, composed of homogeneous crates per producer. Each lot is presented in real time through a web interface accessible remotely, allowing potential buyers to participate without needing to be physically present.

Operationally, e-Fish DockDeal stands out for its lightweight infrastructure: it can be installed quickly and started in stand-alone mode, or integrated with e-Fish Asta and e-Fish Asta Online solutions, with which it shares the same technological ecosystem. This native interoperability allows for hybrid auctions — both in-person and remote — or for keeping e-Fish DockDeal as a dedicated channel for massive and seasonal sales. The system comes equipped with integrated devices for weighing, labeling, displaying information, and capturing images.

Mollusks, local specialties, and processed products: where e-Fish DockDeal truly makes the difference

The real added value of DockDeal, however, emerges at a strategic level: its ability to enhance specific segments of the supply chain, such as mollusks, local specialties, and processed products. In this context, DockDeal becomes a market enabler because it allows the aggregation of supply from individual producers, enhances local specialties, and ensures digital management compliant with European regulations on traceability and food safety.

Integration with e-Fish EF2 allows for the automatic generation of all commercial documentation — from the auction sheet to the transport document and even the pro forma invoice — while connection with e-Fish MarketPlace opens new B2B sales opportunities, expanding the buyer base both nationally and internationally.

e-Fish DockDeal finds its full expression in contexts where coordinated management of catches is a daily necessity. It is the ideal solution for Producer Organizations and producer consortia that need to quickly and transparently move large quantities of homogeneous product, as well as for wholesalers and dispatch centers requiring reliable digital tools to optimize sales and delivery times. Similarly, fish markets can integrate e-Fish DockDeal as a complementary or alternative channel to traditional sales, expanding their pool of buyers and ensuring operational continuity remotely. In all these areas, the platform combines logistical efficiency, transparency, and product enhancement, transforming the sales moment into a smooth and controlled process.

From sea to market in one click: the sale of fish products becomes digital

The difference compared to other e-Fish solutions lies in its functional specialization: while e-Fish Asta is designed for the complex and comprehensive management of a traditional auction hall, with a continuous flow of species and heterogeneous lots, e-Fish DockDeal positions itself as a complementary, agile, and highly efficient tool — perfect for managing homogeneous volumes and repetitive sales sessions. Not a substitute, but an enhancer: a vertical solution that frees up resources, speeds up sales cycles, and expands commercialization opportunities for all those productions that need speed and transparency rather than managerial complexity.

Its introduction represents a decisive step in the digitalization and automation of the seafood supply chain. With e-Fish DockDeal, technology is not just a support, but becomes a competitive factor, capable of optimizing time, reducing operating costs, and improving sales profitability.
